Dr. Whitney Schexnider
Whitney has worked in special education for 18 years. She began her career in special education as a Paraprofessional, before gaining her Master’s degree in Special Education from George Mason University in 2008. After teaching students with Autism in Virginia, she became a Consulting Teacher supporting special education teams across her district. After moving back to Idaho in 2011, Whitney supported students with emotional and behavioral needs as both a Special Education Teacher and District Behavior Specialist before shifting to the role of Statewide Coordinator with Idaho SESTA. While working with Idaho SESTA, she had the opportunity to provide training and support to Idaho’s educators with a focus on improving outcomes for students with disabilities. Whitney earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership in 2018 and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Boise State University in 2021. She is excited to continue her journey with the Middleton School District!
