Mr. Wade Bergstrom

Greetings, my name is Wade Bergstrom. Welcome to my page. I am so excited to be here at Middleton High! My wife Amber and I have three amazing children, Miley (9),  Jacob (7), and Emily (1) . We have lived in Middleton for the past 7 years and absolutely love this community.

This is my first year at Middleton High School after spending the past three years teaching 6th and 8th grade social studies at Middleton Middle School. I know many of you already and I am looking forward to meeting the rest of you! I graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Political Science/Social Sciences Secondary Education. Before joining MMS, I student-taught at Heritage Middle School in Meridian, Idaho. I also completed internships at Sage Valley Middle School and Centennial Job Corp in Nampa. I will be teaching American Government, Street Law, and World History. I LOVE these subjects and can't wait to embark on this journey together!

I was a member of the Gamma Beta Phi national honor society and the Political Science Association of Boise State University. I am currently a member of the Boise State University Alumni Association. I am also currently a member of both the Middleton and Idaho Education Associations.

I have held a passion for history since I was a very small child. I have always had the desire to learn and discover more about the social sciences. I believe in creating a classroom environment that holds true to our district’s philosophy of “Every Student Learning Every Day.” I strive to help create lifelong learners and active, civic-minded, students. Thomas Jefferson eloquently advocated for such a public education by writing; I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them but to inform their discretion by education.”

All my best,

Mr. Bergstrom
