Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Lynna Butler
Hello! My name is Lynna Butler, and I have been teaching for 11 years. I grew up in Eastern Oregon, and knew at a very young age I wanted to become a teacher! After graduating from Eastern Oregon University, I began my search for a teaching job. I ended up moving to Idaho for a job at Sacajawea Elementary in the Caldwell School District. There, I was a 3rd grade teacher for 6 years. I then was hired as a 4th grade teacher at Mill Creek Elementary. It was a goal of mine to teach in this wonderful community that my children would be growing up in. I taught 4th for one year, and then went back down to 3rd grade for two more years. I was then ready for a change from the classroom, and moved for my 10th year of teaching to the Title 1 position, at Mill Creek for the 2015-2016 school year.
Currently, I am serving as the Team Lead for the building RtI team. I love being a part of this team because it is the data collection team for students that are struggling. I enjoy helping teachers find interventions that are working for students to hopefully close the achievement gap for students. I am also a member of the PBIS Tier 2 team which is our behavioral intervention support team, along with a member of the building Leadership team.
I have an amazing family behind me too! My husband Steve and I are enjoying watching our two daughters grow up! With two girls, there are lots of recitals, cheers, and puppet shows that happen at our house. It is great entertainment! We love our Idaho life!
