I am excited to be a teacher in the Middleton School District,   I grew up in southern California and am thankful that 8 years ago we decided to relocate the the Treasure Valley. My family  which includes my wife Jodi my oldest son Austin, my twins Parker and Gavin, and my oldest daughter Miranda which now lives in Maui Hawaii .  I have continued to see great things happen in the district.  It has been a pleasure and honor to come to a district that has strong values in family and education , which I believe is the core to the success of our future. I started my journey as an educator by first attending West Virginia State University on a football  scholarship and then continued on and finishing at Chapman University, after finishing my Bachalors and Masters degree I was employed by Hemet Unified School Dist which is the same district I attended.

My background includes teaching in special education and general education.  I have taught American Government, U.S. History , World History and Health Science , for the past 16 years I have mainly been in special education .  I have also coached multiple sports at the high school level for 30 yrs (Football , Softball , Track , and Weight Lifting). I enjoyed my time teaching in California and have learned many things through my educational experience there but was ready to move onto another journey in education in Idaho.  Along the way I have made some great friends and built some life long relationships with students and colleagues.

I also bring a passion for kids and their education not only do I believe that teaching students the fundementals and give them the tools to be able to learn at a higher level I also feel that it is about building relationships and learning what make's my student's tick!

Sincerely,

Steve Diffey
