Welcome to Middleton Heights!  My name is Kim Brocke, and I have taught 4th grade at Heights for the last ten years.  A little information about me, I have taught for more than twenty years in grades 4th-6th.  My husband and both teach at Heights and know it is the best school to work at in Middleton! We have three girls and are very proud parents! Our olderst two daughters, Karli and Kaiti, graduated from Middleton High School and are both attending University of Idaho majoring in elementary education.  Go Vandals! Our youngest girl is a 7th grader at Middleton Middle School. She keeps us on our toes, as all middle school kids do! The last member of our family is our dog Izzy, a brown lab and chesapeak mix. Our family has loved living and working in Middleton. 

     I love to read and spend time with family and friends. Because our girls, we have come to love soccer and watching football on Friday nights. However, now that we have only one kiddo at home, I will be joining my husband on the golf course on Saturday afternoons. 

    As parents of three girls, we have tried to prepare them for what life will bring their way.  We want them to become self confident individuals who believe in themselves and have big dreams for their future.  We want them to be proud of who they are, take responsibility for their learning, make mistakes they learn from and problem solve themselves.  We want them to learn how to resolve conflicts respectfully and have empathy for other people.  I have those same goals for my students.  As a parent, I understand it takes a community to help raise a child, and as a teacher I take my role in their life to heart.
