My name is Amy Vaughn and I am so excited to be part of the first grade team at Heights Elementary again this year. This is my ninth year teaching and I love working with our young first graders as they become readers and creative problem solvers.
I earned my teaching certificate from Boise State University where I became qualified to teach any grade kindergarten through 8th and Spanish or English as a second language in 9th through 12th.
I started my teaching career at Notus Elementary where I taught kindergarten, third, and fourth grades. My first year students are now high school seniors! Once a child is in my class, they will forever be “one of my kids”. I am excited to watch these young adults graduate and see where their education takes them as they proceed with their next adventures in life.
I have also taught at Heritage Community Charter School. As part of a dual language immersion program I taught fourth grade in Spanish.
I am now in my second year in the Middleton School District. I was married in June 2016 and my husband and I just purchased our new home in Middleton. We love the small town feel and being only a few minutes away from the school has been great!
I am honored to have the opportunity to teach our precious youth. I take it very seriously as I value the importance of every child. I feel it my honor and duty to challenge my students every day as they transform into the best versions of themselves. I thank you for visiting my website and please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!
