Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Mark D. Enger

My name is Mark Enger. I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a bachelor’s degree in industrial education with a teaching minor in History. One of my first teaching positions was in Montana, where I met my wife for 38 years. We have two children, one, Benjamin Enger, who is now 32 years old and has a doctorate's degree, and our daughter received her Masters' degree from the University of Nebraska. I currently hold several teaching certifications, three of which are Advanced Occupational Specialists. Over my tenure of teaching of 38 years, I have been blessed with some great students, many of whom have placed in the top Ten in the Nation for SkillsUSA.

Much of my teaching has been at secondary schools. However, I have two years’ experience at the Post Secondary level. While teaching in Idaho, the students that I worked with built 16 homes for Habitat for Humanity – Boise. All these homes have met or have exceeded Energy Star standards.

I welcome the challenge of starting a new Professional Technical Programs in Residential Building Construction and Cabinetmaking for the Middleton School District.
