I currently serve as a counselor at Middleton High School.  I have had the unique privilege of working at all grade levels in the Middleton School District, starting at Purple Sage Elementary, then Middleton Middle School and finally Middleton High School.  It has been a great experience to see students grow from little people all the way to adulthood. 

I completed a bachelor's degree in Theology from Portland Bible College.  Then earned a Masters in Counseling from Liberty University.  I later returned to school to add a school counseling certification from University of the Southwest after discovering that the school environment is a place where I thrive.  There’s nothing quite like constantly being in the midst of hundreds of young people.

My favorite aspect of my job is being able to walk alongside students as they experience the joys and challenges of being teenagers.  I love to recognize and highlight the value within each individual and encourage them to be the best version of themselves.  Although the majority of what I do focuses on academics, helping students in all aspects of their life is very rewarding.

Outside of the school day, l enjoy my role as an assistant track coach here at MHS.  I also find much pleasure in keeping up with my 4 young adult “children” who are scattered across the country and my teenage nephew who lives with my husband and I.
