Mr. Ryan Sager

Hi. I’m Mr. Sager. I teach. I learn. I write music and books. I’m terrible at chess and parallel parking.

I live in Middleton with my spectacular wife, Katie, and our awesome human daughter, Zoey, and a chihuahua-poodle who thinks she’s Beyoncé. I love our little community and its schools and I'm so thrilled to be teaching at the best high school in the world! (Second only to Hogwarts.)

To the youth of Middleton: I am so excited for you! You get to attend a school with carpet and air conditioning and plumbing and computers and vending machines and sports and clubs and a very, very handsome English teacher (second floor, room 2140).

Considering that half the schools in the world still have dirt floors, no toilets, no food, no computers, and no paper, I’d say you got it pretty good.

So be grateful. Be humble. Be excellent. Deserve this opportunity.

To my future students, get ready to work hard and have fun, because we’re gonna do a lot of both. It doesn't matter how much you already know or don't know, or how much you've liked or disliked your previous English teachers, or whether you love or hate English as a subject; if you come to my class with an open mind and a positive attitude, I promise you'll have a great semester. Maybe even an amazing semester. Maybe even — Dare I say it? — a super-freaking-awesome-holy-smokes-I-can't-believe-it's-almost-over-already! semester. I've already decided that I am going to have the super-freaking-awesome semester. I hope you'll decide the same.

c u in class, amigos. It's gonna be awesome!
