Welcome!

My name is Frankie Pineda and this will be my third year teaching band at Middleton Middle School. Prior to this, I taught 5th grade band for 2 years in the Boulder Valley School District and taught 5-12th grade band for three years in Lexington, Nebraska, alongside two other directors. I earned my bachelor's degree at Boise State University where I performed on the Blue Field playing clarinet for 4 years while also playing saxophone in Symphonic Winds and BSU Jazz Band and combos. I went on to earn my master's degree in music education with a cognate in Jazz saxophone performance at the University of Colorado Boulder. During my time there, I played saxophone in their Symphonic Band, Jazz band II, the Thompson Latin Jazz Ensemble, and the Dave Corbus Combo.

I am currently playing tenor sax with the Muddy Rain Band.  

During my free time, I enjoy practicing and performing my saxophone. You can also find me geeking out over video games and Marvel movies/shows!
