My name is Gigi Murfitt. I started teaching at Middleton in 2018. Prior to that I taught in Bellevue, WA. Teaching is a second career choice for me. I am delighted to be a teacher. I love to help people learn. English is a great place to be. I teach 10th grade English, 10th grade Honors English, Yearbook, and Fundamentals of Oral Communication. As a speaker and a published author, I'm very excited to share what I've learned over the years. 

I love to read. I read a variety of genre but lately I've spent more time reading nonfiction self-help books. I'm a forever learner so I love that genre. I write almost every day in a journal I've kept on and off since I was 16 years old. I think writing is a very important part of life.

I hope to get to know each student to help them be successful at Middleton and beyond.
