Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Christine McMillen

Hello students, families, and friends. My name is Christine McMillen and I am the Principal of Middleton Academy. I have been in public education for 20 years and began my career as a Speech Pathologist in rural Colorado in 1988. I received a B.S.Ed. from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. and my Educational Leadership from NNU. After moving to Boise in 1998, I started working as a Special Education Teacher and spent 13 years with the West Ada School District before joining the staff of Middleton Academy.  My experience at Middleton Academy has been a professional highlight by allowing me the opportunity to work with tremendously talented teachers dedicated to helping students achieve success.

Outside of school, my husband and I enjoy spending time in the mountains hiking, doing wildlife photography, and painting. I love adventure and many years ago I went to flight school and earned a Private Pilot’s License and played ice hockey in Sun Valley. I am most proud of my three daughters: One is an artist in Montana, one in law School in New York, and one 13 year old practicing to be a famous actress.

Students know my motto is to “build each other up,” and I will work hard to strengthen students and create a learning community.
