Mr. Michael Aaron

I came to teaching from the professional science world.  After obtaining a B.A. in Zoology from Ohio Wesleyan University, I worked in a drug screening lab at Cornell University testing race horses for the State of New York.  I then worked as a biological technician for the U.S. Forest Service in northern Colorado.  Later, I was employed by a veterinary pharmaceutical company to perform FDA trials for a new pharmaceutical product.  Lastly, I was a barley breeding technician for a major brewer in Colorado.

Changing career directions, I earned a second Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Boise State University and entered the world of teaching.  I have taught courses in Integrated Science, Chemistry, Physical Science, International Baccalaureate Chemistry and Biology at both Higher and Standard Levels, Theory of Knowledge, and Environmental Systems and Societies.  I have found these experiences to be rewarding and love to share my real-world knowledge with my students.

I also enjoy mountain biking, photography, camping, kayaking, skiing, fishing, and anything outdoors.
