Mrs. Dana Creekmore

Hello students and parents, and welcome to a new year at Middleton Heights Elementary! My name is Dana Creekmore, and I am so excited to be back at Heights teaching 2nd grade this year! I am entering my 17th year of teaching, but this is the first time I have ever taught 2nd grade. In my previous 16 years in education, I have had the opportunity to teach Kdg, 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th and 8th grade language arts.  I also coached high school volleyball for a few years. I received my B-Ed from Washburn University in 1998 and my MAEd in 2008 from Baker University.  My husband's name is Alvin, and we have three daughters, Aubrey, who is a junior at Idaho State University, Ashlyn, a sophomore at MHS, and Addyson, a sixth grader at MMS. I enjoy watching my girls' sports activities and scary movies.

I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all my students and to keep an open line of communication with parents.  In second grade we will have a reading rich classroom, and we will work on continuing to build on our math fundamentals. Students can look forward to working in small groups and doing hands-on activities that stimulate learning. I hope to help instill a love of learning in all my students!
