Middleton School District Opens New CTE Construction Building
On October 6, Middleton School District celebrated the opening of its new Career and Technical Education (CTE) Construction Building with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The 5,800-square-foot facility includes a modern shop, classroom, and restroom facilities designed to support advanced construction courses for students at Middleton High School and Middleton Academy.
Funded through the Idaho Career Ready Students Grant, state modernization funds, and a generous in-kind donation of steel from R&M Steel, the building represents a true community effort. Students enrolled in the program will not only gain valuable hands-on construction experience but will also earn core English and math credits taught through a trades-focused curriculum.
The new facility will also provide opportunities for career exploration by middle school students, strengthening the pipeline of skilled workers in our community while preparing students for both higher education and immediate career pathways.
