Middleton School District Board of Trustees

  • The Middleton School District is governed by a five-member; Board, each representing one of the five zones that make up the District.  The members are elected for four-year terms. Each member must be a qualified voter in the School District and a resident of the zone he or she represents.

Kirk was appointed to fill the open position in March, 2019

Kirk has lived in the Middleton School District since 1989.  Both his sons attended Middleton schools K-12.  Kirk is an Idaho native who grew up in western Washington and attended Washington State University.  He earned his degree in Economics with an option in Transportation and ran both Cross Country and Track.  His entire corporate career has been spent at FedEx.

Kirk and his wife, Sara, are active in many local activities and events.  They believe the roots of community involvement start within our public schools.  All students need to be provided the opportunity to flourish and grow so they can be active participants in our community and beyond.  Kirk believes working with the Board of Trustees for the collective good of our community will be personally rewarding.

When not at home Kirk can usually be found in the Idaho backcountry enjoying our public lands and most likely chasing elk.

Aleisha McConkie

In May 2017 Aleisha McConkie was elected as the Zone 1 Trustee. 

Aleisha married to her husband in 2003 and they have 4 children. The McConkie’s have called Middleton “home” since 2015.

Aleisha graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business from ISU. She loves spending time with her family on their little hobby farm; complete with numerous animals. In the spring and fall you can find her in the orchard pruning or picking fruit. She loves to watch her children play sports and develop new skills and talents. When she has time she loves a good book.

Pamela Wagoner

Pam was appointed as a trustee in July of 2020.

A native Idahoan, Pam was born and raised in Caldwell. After graduating from Caldwell High School, she attended Utah Valley University where she obtained an Associates Degree. In 1996 she married her husband; they now have five children and a son-in-law. Pam and her family moved to Middleton in 2007. Three of her five children are Middleton High School graduates.

Pam is very active in her local community, especially with sports. For the last 25 years she has been an on and off youth volleyball coach. Her summers are spent running the Caldwell Junior Golf program. She enjoys volunteering for the program because she can help kids from Middleton and Caldwell learn a life skill. If the weather is warm and the sky is clear, Pam and her family can usually be found at the golf course.

Pam is grateful to be giving back to the Middleton community that has supported her and her family throughout the years.

Derek was appointed as a trustee in June of 2019.

Derek and his family have lived in Middleton since 1997. He and his wife Cheri have 2 sons that attend Middleton schools. Derek is an Idahoan who played college athletics and earned his degree from Boise State University.

Derek’s career involves working for a number of Fortune 500 companies, startups, as well as an Entrepreneur in the field of business, management and marketing.

The Moore family is very involved within the Middleton Community as well as academics and athletics.

The Moore’s live a very active lifestyle which includes sports, snow skiing, snow biking, boating, golfing, hunting, and most of all enjoying life!!

Jake Dempsey

Jake was appointed as a trustee in July of 2020.

Jake is a more recent resident in Middleton, where he moved his family to enjoy a safer, more rural lifestyle. Jake attended College in Eastern Idaho and in Washington State and has focused on business and entrepreneurship for his whole career. He currently works in Business Development for a tech company.

Helping kids get ready for the real world is something that Jake is passionate about. He has spent time volunteering for Scouting organizations and often offers mentoring for small businesses at no charge. He believes that both the social and practical aspects of education are essential to the success of our younger generation as they prepare to meet the demands of an ever changing world. Jake is looking forward to finding creative ways to solve problems and enhance the community’s education experience. 

Now that Jake and his family are settled, he doesn’t stray too far from home. Most of his time is spent with his family or enjoying the local outdoors. Idaho is where he is meant to be.
